This is the first official update and still a bit of a trial run on my part. If you are reading this, I apologise ahead of time as this is going to be an unedited post.

Returning Wines:
SPREITZER Lenchen Kabinett
The sneaky return of the Lenchen Kabinett is exciting as it actually hasn't even hit the shelves of our store yet.
FATTORIA MORETTO Lambrusco Semprebon
The fan favourite of many Semprebon is back!!! This off-dry (residual sugar) lambrusco is delightful, if you haven't had it yet... you are missing out.
OCHOTA BARRELS The Mark of Cain Pinot Meunier
Absolutely legendary producer of minimal intervention wine from Australia. RIP Terrace Ochota we miss you.

New Additions:
OCHOTA BARRELS A Forest Pinot Noir

New Categories:
Have created and am playing around with the following categories.
"Tasting Line Ups"

  • A catalog of the wines poured at tastings conducted at Metrovino, both private and public tastings.

"Recently Opened/Tasted"  Decided wasn't relevant.

  •  A catalog of wines that have recently been opened at Metrovino. THIS IS NOT WHAT IS CURRENTLY OPEN I thought it would be fun to keep track of what we've been opening at Metrovino. Because lets be real there is always something open here and maybe you all care about what we've recently tasted. The jury is still out on what the eventual name of this category will be but for now it is "Recently Tasted".

Structural Updates:
After feedback from a few of you I've decided to adjust the top bar menu.

  • A slight quality of life update on the Spirits section, making it easier to navigate to particular pages of Gin, Vodka, Mezcal, and Tequila. + plus a long overdue update on the spirits selection... (Christmas killed me)
  • What was once under the category of "explore" is now under the "wine" catchall.
    • Recieved feedback that individuals had trouble finding the "search by grape" and "producer" section.
  • Added the category of "Non-Alcoholic" for our non-alcoholic wine options!

In Progress:
In the near future there will be the rolling out of content that I am calling "staff write ups". Little blurbs about all of the staff here and why they are so fucking awesome. I will also be then appending to these write ups what I call "Staff Picks" a catalog of wines that each staff member is particularly infatuated with. The idea being for those of you who don't really know out staff members you can get a sense of who all of us here are and what our taste in wine is! (or at least publicly is xD).

That is probably all I have for this update, perhaps the structure of future ones will be the same. But probably not...
Stay sane,
- Isaiah
